Just wanted to take a moment to thank everyone here at Talkbass...moderators, supporting members, and regular members.

This is truly the best resource for bass players of all levels and I have been able to learn so much from using TB. Whether it's learning about new gear, playing techniques, or just enjoying the obscure and funny, TB always delivers.

The one thing that I really like, and that says a lot about this community, is that no one seems to pass judgment on anyone based on their skill level (at least in my experience here).

I'm a firm believer that no question is a dumb question and its nice to be able to ask basic questions and get solid respectful answers.

I also have to say that I LOVE the classified section...probably a little too much! I have had nothing but positive experiences buying, selling, and trading. It has allowed me the opportunity to own some fantastic gear that I would have never even know about. GAS certainly is a powerful thing!

So anyways, thank you to all who participate here on TB, to all that have helped me along the way, and to everyone for making it a really friendly, informational, and fun place to be a member.

Is that the clown I almost personally ran out of here a few years ago?:D

He had no idea what he was doing and sent me a bass he built but forgot to install a volume control and the bridge was 1/2" off line? If so, I laugh about that now, but I didn't then.:p

In any case, TB is a great place and a huge wealth of info. Well worth the $20 annual supporting member fee IMO.

It has cost me tens of thousands of $$$ in the 6-7 years since I joined though!

I'm no teenager, but there's always a lot to learn (or re-learn) from other people you meet here.

Like many others I'm sure, my work puts me in front of a computer for 40+ hours a week. Talkbass and youtube keep me sane, but mostly talkbass.

Yeah, the GAS pains are always in effect for me onTB...I joined just over 2 years ago and have dine over 40 transactions! All of them be great and any issues that arise get handled in a very professional way.

So at least all this GAS is being treated appropriately! Lol

It's on my PC and I'm always logged in on my phone too.

Yep, TB is great. I've been here almost 7 years and learned so much--granted, I was starting from an extremely low knowledge base. :D Whenever I start to take the place for granted, a quick visit to any of the other large gear forums (not naming any names) reminds me how fabulous this community is.
  16. +1. I especially love the classifieds also. I don't actually buy much, but it is fun and educational to window shop. :)

I always recommend TalkBass to other bassists I meet... it's one of the few (very few) online forums where the overall tone is considerate and relatively polite (thank you moderators), there's tons of information, and many "opinion leaders" and name-brand players, builders, and experts on here lending their knowledge.

And some really funny stuff, too... like the tortloaf thread.

    This is a GREAT forum!
