Got one- just a house party, but it may turn out spectacular. One band for sure(Rubicon- I hate that name, BTW)- 80's covers, and maybe my good-time, classic-punk/drunk rock act NEIGHBOR HATER! Certainly some guest jams, food and pretty women.

Got as gig downtown Miami, where it will be really cold around 72 degrees lol. Play there just about every weekend, this pix was from last Sat, hundreds of people tonight there will be thousands. Let the insanity begin...

    Hi,

We're at Cars Land in Disney's California Adventure, playing 5 half hour sets 8pm-1am. Pretty cushy gig except for the load in. I've got pictures from last year in the other NYE gig threads>> http://www.talkbass.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1041549. I'll be back with more pictures next year. ;)

    Thank you for your indulgence,

I'll be playing tonight at Pusser's Carribean Grill on the waterfront in Annapolis, MD.
we go on at 9 and wrap up at 1:20am. It's a new room for us, but should be a lot of fun

    Hi,

That looks like a fun gig! We'll be in Disneyland with about 52 degrees, hopefully, at midnight. At least it will be warmer than last year. It was a quite chilly (for So. Cal.) 42 degrees last year.

    Thank you for your indulgence,

    BassCliff

I used to gig every New Year's Eve. My current band gigs so often that we instituted a policy of "No Gigs" between Thanksgiving and New Year's. We will make an exception if there is a high paying gig available but other than that, we use this time of the year to spend time with family.

We didn't try to get one booked this year...we were supposed to play one last year...I ended up getting extremely sick the morning of the gig and had to cancel (only cancellation in my 12+ years of gigging). After the stress of it, I pretty much decided I wasn't going to try booking any more NYE gigs unless the payday is at least double our normal rate ($100/man minimum normally). I'd rather be out with family and friends having fun on that night than dealing with all the work and stress for normal rate.

    Hi,

Wow! You guys look nice! I love the fridge, as long as I don't have to schlep it. ;)

My old band used to do tux gigs at NYE for the Palm Springs country club crowd. This is from NYE 2011.
