^^^ Is there an emoticon for "Green with Envy"? "Jealous as Hell"?

Have fun! Ask if he's done anything recently for Chris Squire!

That is a beautiful bass. I have a KZ that I think is great but I am planning to get a USA MTD as a final bass.

Is the purpose of the visit to pick up a purchase?

No, well I'm actually going to a wedding up there, so I figure why not make a visit and speak one on one to discuss my bass specs.

Nice clips! I'm hearing more warmth and fatness from the brass. The steels to me produce a more in your face attack, I dig em both but partial to the brass IMO... Thx for sharing!

That's the truth !! Brass is more mid focused ,compressed ,and is like you have cut the very low end .. Steel is more natural , uncompressed with fat bottom end and sizzle treble .. Both sound's Great :)
forgot to mention that the bass is flat , blend at center , and direct to pro tools
the strings are Dean Markley SR 2000 one years old :D

OK guys. I'm eyeing two different basses available right now. I'd appreciate your feedback on playability and tone differences. And just general feedback is appreciated.

535 #1: Ash body. Walnut top. Ash neck. Maple fingerboard. Matching Walnut headstock. Weighs 10 lbs. 3 ounces.

535 #2: Poplar (tulipwood) body. Myrtle top. Wenge neck. Wenge fingerboard. No matching headstock. Weights 9 lbs. 5 ounces.

So which would you go with? I realize the wenge/wenge neck with poplar body is more "the MTD" tone...

Here's what I want. Punchy. Solid and strong B string. Not brittle highs but present highs. Fat.

I'd go with the poplar/wenge. I'd be curious about trying another ash/walnut/ash/maple but the one I had just didn't cut through in a mix the way I wanted it to (recorded great though).
