Are there flatwound strings that are thin so they feel like regular roundwounds, especially the G?

Do you mean similar in terms of tension?

Not necessarily in tension, but in how thick they feel under your fingers.

    D'Addario Chromes ECB80 are very thin, if that's what you want: .040 .060 .075 .095. Chromes ECB84 have slightly thicker E- and A-strings: .040 .060 .080 .100.

Chromes are not as smooth as some other flats (like DR Legend for instance), and they are very bright for flats but will get more mellow with use. I think you will feel right at home with them.

Thank you, Mungi! After further research, it seems that Chromes ECB80 are indeed the thinnest flats available.

compression wound sound more like flats and feel more like rounds minus the finger noise.
