    I thought it would be really interesting to hear from those with big collections on how they like to combine their assets?

    Or even if you've owned allot of gear in the past (lots of experience) and found really great combinations?

    So say you have:

    Aguilar DB751
    Glockenklang Blue Soul
    Matamp GT200

    Aguilar GS412
    ACME B4
    Bergantino IP112 x2

    Fender Precision 4
    Fender Jazz 4
    Fender Precision 5
    Fender Jazz 5
    Fender Tele (pup hear the neck)
    Fodera Emperor 6 Standard

    You could even add for a type of genre:

    Jazz
    Blues
    R&B
    Rock
    ....etc

    Types of strings

    Steels
    Flats
    Brand

    So what are your favorite combinations?

    1) Fender Precision 4, ACME B4, Matamp GT200
    2) ....
    3) ....

    I like this thread...

    Stingray 5 > SVT > bergantino 212
    Precision > SVT > bergantino 610/ ampeg 810
    Rickenbacker 4003 (stereo output) > SVT VR > NV610+212
    Maton JB-4 fretless - 1967 fender bassman > fender 610

    Most of my stuff sounds good in any combination, this is something I look for when buying. A few have stood out though.

    Alembic Exploiter - Sound City X188 - Sunn 415M
    Ristola 5 string - Fender 400PS - (2) Bag End D12E + Carvin 10.2 NEO
    Ristola fretless -- clean through the Fender rig, or through the X188 for distortion
    Mouradian CS-74 + pick - through anything.

    I like SS rounds on fretted basses, Ken Smith Compressors on fretless.

    I'm into smooth jazz and elevator music.

    I only own two basses and one modular rig, but here are my favorites over the years:

    1. (Current) USACG P5->Momark 500->Bergantino HT112ER/EX

    2. Modulus Q5->OLD Ampeg B15 or SVT

    3. Modulus Q5 (Emg)->Alembic SF2->Carvin DCM->SWR Goliath or Acme lowB
