I'm tired of the stock Epiphone bridge which is lacking ways of setting individual string height and string spacing. I'm looking for suggestions for a new bridge to replace the stock one. I've tried the Hipshot direct replacement, which was fine but added alot of weight which i didn't like.

I've had my eyes on the Schaller 3D and Warwick bridge, does anyone have experience of these bridges on a Thunderbird bass? I'm not afraid to modify the bass (taking it to a qualified local luthier)

    Thanks in advance! :)

String spacing and saddle height are the main issues. Make sure you get that right on the new bridge as in that you have enough adjustability. Beyond that, any good quality bridge will do the job just fine if you're drilling new mounting holes.
