Some short vids documenting various parts of the build progress.

This may not be the best way in the world to build basses but it is the way I worked it out.

Very good! Thanks for posting. More please!

Also, perfect choice of music. Mellow is totally appropriate.

More on the way. Mellow will run out fairly quickly. I am using stuff I recorded many years ago so things will take a darker turn fairly soon.

Thanks for posting these. I always enjoy seeing how others build their instruments. Also glad to see another person that takes workshop safety seriously. good job on using all the protective gear.

Nice! What are your templates made of? 1/2" MDF? Acrylic? Did you get them CNC'd , or did you just cut them on the bandsaw/router?

Got to protect yourself while building in this case lungs and hearing both of which I make frequent use of and would like that to remain the case.
Most are made from 12mm MDF but I coat the edges that the router uses with epoxy which makes them hard enough to resist wear. I also have some made from acrylic and a few in tufnol and aluminium. The MDF ones I make myself with the bandsaw and finish by hand it is dealt with in the previous vid. The tufnol ones I got done on a friends cnc and the alloy ones are done at my local engineers.

  19. Thank you very much!!! Everyone learns skills differently but for me watching something being done by a master is by far the best way.I'm also impressed that you are willing to share this unselfishly, many wouldn't!!

No trouble, but certainly not a master. Self taught so as I said in the first post this may not be the best way to do it and I am sure actual masters of the craft are having a good laugh at my attempts.
