it has been a awfully long time since I heard one but it should be pretty fat and full, bright enough and a good solid bottom end "

I have almost the same bass except the neck is mostly walnut with maple & purple heart stringers. Killer bass with great articulation. Mike sure knows how to build them. GLWTS!

Incredible. Beautiful axe. Bet this is very comfortable to play and has killer tone.

If you're into Allan Holdsworth, you should catch Skuli Sverisson playing his early Tobias 6. Definitely one of the best bass tones in the Holdsworth lineup. Great player, too.

Here is a link to the YT version of Holdsworth's DCI instructional video. They intersperse tunes in there and I think the first, early on, is Proto Cosmos. Skuli's Tobias sounds real nice.

    Cheers.

edit: Proto Cosmos starts at 9:55. There is an ad to start :(

I always love seeing Skuli mentioned. He's my biggest influence. He's such an incredible musician, and he's always had an incredible sound.
