So, I went to the Fender Design Experience web site and when all was said and done I ended up with the same color scheme as the Troy Sanders Jag.

Plus, P/J pickups and matching headstock.

However, I have never seen one in person. Anybody out there own one or tried one. It seems like I couldn't go wrong for the price, but would like some opinions.

If it is anything like the standard Squier VM Jag (Black, blocks, P/J), you can't go wrong. It will be a great sounding bang for the buck axe.

Your local Sam Ash may have one. I played it the other day and it felt great. Sounded really good. I personally think it's hideous, but it was a very good bass as far as sound and feel.

I liked the look, but the feel was not for me. I like heavy gloss (CV, new VM, etc.) so the kinda coarse satin felt no bueno on my hand. Sounded okay, probably as good as any VM. Didn't like the controls, either. I'd probably go vbt if I got one, but I probably won't, unless they're literally giving them away.
