Anyone has any thoughts on what bass was Robert Trujillo playing during Metallica's appearance @ the Grammys?

Looked like the bass he was playing had a black pickguard. Definitely not a jazz bass.
If it was a streamer, it was fairly modded. I couldn't take a good luck unfortunately.

I just watched their performance of "One" (pretty awesome by the way). Looks like it could have been a Warwick modified with a pickguard...possibly his sig model?

EDIT: Just saw the pictures...hm. No good views of the headstock.

Yeah, that's what I thought first, but then I looked up his sig model... not really the same bass:

I watched the last minute or two of their performance with Lang Lang, and Robert's bass was definitely sporting the telltale Warwick logo on the headstock.

He plays a Warwick. He is one of their signature artists. His custom is a cool mettalic silver. Not a metal fan but I love me some Warwicks......

Warwick Streamer CV. It's a nice bit of vintage style injected into the Warwick look.

that performance was one of the worst things ive ever seen. metallica is so terrible now, butchering their own song on national TV is just another low in their long line of embarrassing lows at this point. kirks play has deteriorated to that of a competent 8th grader, lars double bass during the end was laughable, there were multiple times the band was out of time with each other, just a joke.

so sad, im gonna go watch cliff em all and year in the life and just remember when this band cared about quality.

I thought it was terrible too... I was surprised that they played the last part that fast though.... seeing as how they are 70 and all.

The tempo was fast, but were the notes? Here's a poll. Were they playing:

    A: Sextuplets
    B: 16th notes
    C: tremolo mush
D: Mush because some members are playing the sextuplets and others are resorting to 16ths

I honestly don't know the answer from the bad-sounding vids on YouTube, but it certainly sounded tight as an open mic jam.
