I am using a set of ThunderBlades in a build now. I like what I've heard about them and I feel that are a good match for my designs. This is the first bass I have built that uses these pickups...

    I put a Thunder’Tron in the bridge position on a EB-O
It kills the stock Gibson pick up

I plan on putting one in my SG

they sound great in the spectrasonic grestch guitars, totally rich and warm, but not overpoweringly thick

Cool! Thanks for the replies. I got a Thunder blade on order for a copy bass. I just can not seem to find a lot about to many people using them. All i have found is some posts on youtube in a jet junior bass and one of a guy who had relic bass like a fender cabronita bass. I just went with a gut feeling and pulled the trigger.

I have a pair going into a Ric-style build, as soon as my 'birds are done!

Well this is a picture of the copy bass I am putting a TV Jones Thunder Blade in. I also have a Stellartone Bass Tone Styler coming to go in it also.

Thanks I will post a pic of it when it's done.

It's something new that I have been working on... I'm pretty excited about it. The ThunderBlades fit well with the overall design (It will also be offered with three lipstick tube pickups).

I love the TV Jones-designed humbucker in the Gretsch 2202 series basses. That'a great pickup that is loud and just roars! I installed one on a Squier Bronco and it's an outstanding bass. The Bronco is light and well balanced, has a fast neck, and the pickup mounting point is ideal for a single pickup - very much like the Gretsch 2202 Jr Jet the pickup came out of.

I have a Gretsch 6128B ThunderJet bass which has a pair of TV Jones ThunderTrons, and I also have a spare set of FilterTron pickups that I'm going to use in something.

Any experience on the difference between the three different flavors in TV Jones pickups? Thunder Tron, Blade or Mag?

Put a ThunderTron and a ThunderMag in my Epi Woody.
I get a nice even sound across the whole fretboard. 'Not as muddy as the stockers.
The ThunderMag is the brighter pup of the two.
I have not had a lot of time with them yet.
    They are purdy!
