    What's your favourite combination of two or three (or more) pedals that mutate to create something new and wonderful?

    I'm not really looking for "ooh, my compressor and delay sound great together" Of course they do. I'd be upset if they didn't.

    I'm more wondering about unique combos or great matchups that maybe others hadn't thought of or just your favourite double-tap moment in a set where two great pedals work together to kick some ass.

    My current notable flavor mix is the EHX Bass Microsynth and the DOD Meatbox duo. Both lovely pedals by themselves but together create a monster of low-end evil.

    Schumann Electronics Lion and my Swell pedal create a nice wall of distortion.

    My EHX bassballs in front of the cheap-ass behringer super-octaver. In combination with my dry bass signal, this combo kicks serious ass in higher registers/frets

    I really like the way my EHX Memory Boy clips whenever I run a heavily boosted signal into it (Fuzz or Overdrive). Throw in some octave fuzz, and you almost get a leslie.

    Like it or not your going to get a lot of octave, fuzz and filter combos. I'm going with my IE Oxide into my IE Xerograph. Literally made for each other. I'm awaiting the Subterreana to arrive for the octave/synth. My EHX Micropog(octave up and dry signal) into my Pigtronix EP2 is pretty sweet too.

    I have found the joy in combining different dirts.

    Empress Multidrive fuzz or fuzz+OD combo --> Darkglass B7K
    Hardwire TL-2 Metal Distortion --> Darkglass B7K

    And octave into any of the above, I know that's boring, but it's true.

    The OCD3 in front of the B7K has been a real blast of late. I've gotten some really tight leads and gruesome carnage out of that little duo.

    SA Multiwave Bass Distortion into the POG2 with all of the octaves mixed in. I use an expression pedal to increase the amount of distortion on the MWBD. It really adds a ton of harmonics and pulls the octaves apart in the mix beautifully. Add a little reverb or delay and it is one of the prettiest sounds a bass can make.

    Boss PS-6 in s-bend mode 2 octaves up>Copilot Orbit. Bending octaves up into the Orbit's VCO causes crazy oscillations and random arpeggiations. Super fun. Filters into bitcrushers and ringmods sounds really good too.

    EHX Micro POG into either a Phase 90 or a Vortex Flanger (ideally with a little bit of drive afterwards)...gets very close to an 8/12 string sound. Lush, but not too much so, with soem subtle movement.

    I didn't expect to get so much GAS after reading these.

    I just spent an hour jamming with the Boss OC3 into the DOD stereo bass flanger. Another wonderful pairing

    Nobody is stupid enough to actually pay me to play their gear.
    Tech 21 Bass Boost Chorus and Darkglass B3K sound pretty damned cool together.
