OK. I'll have to consider this my ammends to Ibanez. I was never really a fan. Never had any issues with them for quality control, or anything like that... just a bunch of other "opinions" I've posted regarding the company, their bass necks, etc...

    And, well....

My beautiful, wonderful wife completely surprised me this Xmas morning with an Ibanez Artcore AGB200.

I am completely blown away by this thing. It is freaking beautiful, for starters. Craftsmanship is impeccable, down to the finest detail. Neck feels great, great action, custom fit hardshell case that smells like a Gibson case, love everything about it. Was a tad nervous to plug it in, but when I did I was floored again. The sound is incredibly rich and full, and thick, and sweet, and gooey, and barky, and thumpy.... did I mention how versatile it is? This thing looks, sounds, feels and plays like an absolute monster.

It's rare that I get a bass and know immediately that it's a keeper. This one is a keeper. And trust me when I say it's not because it was a gift from my wife. She's been awesome about getting me basses as gifts and she has no issue with me sending them back, or selling them when I find out they're not for me.

    I absolutely love this bass.

    And it's an Ibanez.

    Pix to follow.

I have one, and it's one of my favorites. Rounds, flats, tapes, they all work and sound great. Sounds great with my band.
