Post your favourite pictures of basses with unique finishes. I'm talking basses with unique paint jobs, coloured stains/dyes, exotic veneers, body shapes, materials, etc.

Here are some of my favourites from the Rattle Can Refinish Club:

Yeah, I love the trans orange/amber/honey tints as well. Thanks for your post

I started this thread because I'm going to refinish one of my basses and wanted something a bit different. Spent a lot of time looking, and my mind is still not made up yet, but as I search I decided to put everything that looked good in one spot for a quick reference point.

Please feel free to post your refinishes or other finishes you like.

I love the night life, I got to boogie....
    +1.

The Brubaker finishes are amazing to me. Especially the unique bursts. Also, his fretboard finishes are amazing.

NOBODY is doing what Brubaker is doing IMO.

That is ridiculously cool looking. Can this be done to have a colour tint as well?

I like the black edging around the sides of the bass. Nice and smooth. Can you enlighten me as to what's going on knob and switch wise? That looks like the most ultimate on-board control system ever.

    That's gorgeous. Thanks for posting.

The Tyler Psychedelic Vomit finish is done by spraying layers of a bunch of different colored finishes on the body and then sanding off the layers to get the trippy visual effect. So far, no mention of it has ever been made on Joe Rogan's psychedelics-friendly podcast !

Tyler basses came with modded versions of their onboard preamp. There's preamps out there that are significantly more complicated than this one. They make great guitars - I really wish they were still in the bass business.

JIO, great contributions! Those are beautiful!

EDIT TO ADD: I didn't realize you did those yourself! Nice work!

Can you give any in-site into how you did the stained gold leaf finish?

    Great pr0n.

Really like those Warwicks, especially the Steampunk one with the 3-D coilovers on the front.
