I have two looking for new homes, both fairly unusual.
I am after another bass for sale here in the classifieds, so looking for a quick sale. (well, two, actually.)

First up is a 2000 MIA Jazz with Figured, bookmatched maple body finished in a sienna or honeyburst, neck with what looks to be a vintage tint, with 60's style decal.
It has a DZ (deluxe model serial #) and is labeled Fender Special Edition on the back of the headstock. I have only heard of one other bass like this, located in Italy, so it was possibly built for the overseas market. I really is beautiful and unusual. Great playing and sounding bass. Comes with hard case.

    $1350

Next is a 1996 50th Anniversary Limited Edition Jazz, one of 500 made for the 50th anniversary of Fender.
Flamed bookmatched maple front and back, gold hardware, and limited edition neckplate. Bass has been played, has some scratches on the back, mostly on the upper horn, and some rust on a few PG screws, but still has plastic on the PG. Comes with case and candy.

    $1200

I also have The P-Bass model, same specs, better shape, $1350.

that Special Edition Jazz is the best looking Fender body I've ever seen, I do believe. (but not sure I like the white pickguard. heck, with that body a pickguard isn't even needed) :)

Thanks, Guys. The quilting is very nice in person.

Here's another fairly unusual one I'm offering up for sale. Limited Edition - 215 made.

2006 Fender FSR Hot Rod Jazz. MIA. Oly white, Matching headstock, Noiseless pickups, Badass bridge. The much-maligned S-1 switch is handy live, IMO, but you can just not use it if it displeases you. Comes with hardcase.
    $1000

Hey Jim -- Is that first Jazz Bass (the very rare Special Edition Jazz) the one that you were playing with MamaSan at BreastFest 2011 and in Collingswood that year at "Mamapalooza" (a/k/a Collingswood Mayfair)? Could you give me an idea how much that bass weighs?

    Thanks,
    Doug ("funkyjudge")
