Selling an Upton Bass Standard Laminate 3/4 Bass. Made in 2012 at their Stonington Ct workshop, it features a custom string-length of 40.5", (an upcharge when ordering), an extended range fingerboard and an installed Revolution Solo II pickup. Pretty sure the original owner (Will Kelly; see below) paid around $3450 without the pickup (strings, tax, fingerboard extension and aforementioned mentioned custom scale length upcharge).
Previous owner installed position markers. Currently strung with solo gauge Spirocores I believe. It's a joy to play the shorter string length combined with the lighter gauge strings. Great gigging or rehearsal axe. If you're thinking of getting into doubling on electric and upright, this is the bass for you. In addition to the more manageable scale length, plywood is less sensitive to changes in humidity and is easier/cheaper to repair should the bass become damaged in transit or on the gig.
Selling with the pickup for $2200 OBO. Have a very nice padded gig bag I can throw in for another $75 or so. Located in Brookline Ma right off the Beacon St Wash Sq T station. If you don't have a car I'm happy to give you a lift with the bass after we complete the deal to anywhere in the greater Boston area.
Listed w/ pics on Craig's List Boston as well.

How is this still here? This is a great bass. I would buy it back in a heartbeat if I still lived in Boston.

Here's a pic of it after I got it. Note that none of the accessories are the same. I do think my picture illustrated the color better. Hope ya dont mind Chris.
