For practise purspose I am using toilet paper instead of the buddha rope I put it at the last fret and practise slap for a higher tension and muting strings, it is better for me to practise left hand slap and slap.
It can damage the nut of my musicman stingray bass?

This is what I mean with the buddhar rope at min 31 bill dicken explain it and before he used a toilet paper.

I am planing perhaps to put another cloth for this purspose, do you know the aproximate width or anything I can use, without damagin the bass??

you won't damage anything with it no matter what you do here.

a shoelace would probably be better than TP, though.

Cant imagine toilet paper being able to damage anything ever at all ever. Well maybe if some fool starting trying to eat some and choked. Lol.
