Killer top man! What is that, Bubinga?
Yep, flamed bubinga over mahogany. TASTY combination!
Awesome, brother!!! I've never seen flaming bubinga before this...
You may as well put Sadowsky electronics in it anyway, because he gets all his bodies and necks from Warmoth.
Cue the flames!
not true,nice body lonny
No. Apparently they did contract out to Warmoth at some stage, but not any more.
If Sadowsky did go with Warmoth it wouldn't surprise me at all. There are a lot of builders like K-line who are more of an "assembly and fine finishing" vs. total construction. There's something to be said for delegation.
The never ending Sadowsky debacle
OK, the body looks HOT. Now lets see the neck and some in process pics
That body looks alot like this one in the current Warmoth Showcase page.
My Quilted Redwood on Alder body is due for delivery today...
Update: UPS just delivered it...gotta go build something.
Yep, it's similar. I looked at the redwood/alder combo too.
I really love that look id like to order one for a ds bass..
Last night after the brown truck arrived, I did rough prep work on the body and drilled holes for the potentiometers. A big shout out to Rob LoPrinzi @ Sadowsky for helping me make sure everything was spec'd to accomodate the preamp and controls.
Clamped up to drill pilot holes for the cavity controls:
Getting ready to drill for the Sadowsky preamp:
Fastened in the drill press for the control layout:
Tape protects against chipout and scrapes from the drill bit:
Measure twice, drill once, great success!
I dig the progress pictures. Please keep them coming!
