Hi all! So I have a Washburn xb 500 that I have been playing for 12 years but in the past few years I have had to replace it due to this little issue. Well I want to back so I'm seeking help on how to fix the problem.

So it is an active bass, the battery is new enough, but whenever I turn the low end pickups/boost up it peeks really nasty and distorts on the articulate stuff. I originally tried to replace the pickups but NOBODY make any that fit this model and Washburn discontinued it a while ago. So no dice there.

Anyone have any suggestions or had a similar issue? I love this bass and want to bring it back to the stage so I'm open to any suggestions! Thanks in advance!!
