    Hello!

Have any of you ever notice a big resonance in bass guitar on G and C note?
When we are rehearsing with my band, every time I play the G o C, the bass goes so loud it moves the entire room.
I thought it could be the resonance frequencies of our rehearsal room, but last weekend a band playing live had the same issue, in a totally different situation.
The band playing live had an ampeg cab and the svt classic, just as I do.

Any thoughts? I have this weird feeling that a compressor is not going to solve the problem...

equipment: Stingray MM + Ampeg svt + 410 HLF cab.

    Thanks in advance.

I find some acoustic anomolies to be consistent venue-to-venue so your claim does not surprise me. You may want to consider adding a GEQ, preferably a PEQ, and performing some boost / cut / sweep trials to pinpoint the offending frequencies.
