What amp, how much power?

    I'm a guitar player who is slowly sticking his nose into bass guitar. Currently playing through a small Peavey practice amp (1x8, maybe 15W?) which is okay for hearing the instrument and not a lot else.

    I need a COMBO amplifier that is:
    * Able to keep up with a 20W guitar amp into a 2x12 of V30s
    * Cheap, ideally easy to find used. $200 absolute max, less is better.
    * Lightweight... under 40 lbs would be nice? But I can be a bit flexible here.

    I'm not looking for the ultimate in tone, I just need something that will record well and provide backbone against a 20W guitar amp and comparable drummer. It looks like this is going to be solid state, and I'm not sure how much power I need to keep up... plus it sounds like some of the cheap amps are optimistic about their power ratings.

    I'm not in a huge hurry to buy -- I can keep my eye out on CL, forums, GC etc for a decent used deal. But I need some idea of what amps to look for or avoid and what power spec to aim for. I'm sure this has been asked before and I'm sorry for asking it again, but thanks in advance for the help.

    "General" minimums? 100 watts and a single 12". Weight for price will be the biggest hurdle.
