Discussion in 'Basses [BG]' started by BassNoobSuomi, Jun 29, 2013.

  1. Yes, i did do a search, but the latest thread faded into cyberspace.
Tell/show us what you're GASing for right now!

    I'm currently lusting after a peavey B-Quad.
As well as this sadowsky: [IMG].

I'm doing a summer rig overhaul. I've just snagged a new Aguilar TH500 and I'm in the process of getting a preamp replacement for my bass.

The only things left on my GAS list are:
    A new cab (epifani 310ul or a Aggie gs212)
    Voodoo labs pedal power 2+

G&L LB-100. Still not sure which finish I want, or if I'll even pull the trigger, but if my musical activities increase I'll probably do it. I also want some type of Telecaster guitar, but every time I play my favorite Strat I wonder why I'd bother. The newish Cabronita Thinline might push me over the edge though. With its semi-hollow body and Gretsch-inspired pickups it's an unusual, very cool guitar that's well suited to the rootsy stuff I like to play.

I am currently gassing for a schecter 5-string bass. I've been curious about the schecter C-5 deluxe 5-string bass for a while. this bass seems to have some impressive features such as a string-through body(which provides extra sustain), a 3-band eq for tone flexibilities, and it has two different pick-ups. a jazz pick-up on the neck position and a soapbar pick-up on the bridge position. as soon as I save a couple more bucks, I would like to purchase that bass. my other choice would of been a schecter raiden special 5-string bass.

    my p-build to be finished . . .
  11. MM Classic 4. And a cheap Jazz (ie Mexican) as a backup. And I can feel some effects pedals in the future, but nothing specific yet. Never believed GAS was real. Oh how wrong I was.

Two things, one I just lost in an auction, almost won the bidding...

    A Hagstrom Coronado IV

    And 2, also a hagstrom, well, a goya, but it's a hagstrom.

    A Goya/Hagstrom model 80 bass

Would LOVE a Lakland Skyline 55-02 rosewood neck.

Also a fretless 2 pup active 5er with a 2 octave ebony neck, but haven't really found anything. Don't want to spend much over 1k - used would be OK. Was thinking something in a MTD - the wenge neck feels really comfortable. Wish Fender made a Jazz with this configuration (with or w/o wenge), I'd buy it inna second!

I don't know which route I'll take ... or even if I'll continue to play music.

But I have in mind :
Warwick Thumb NT 4 strings in white and a kahler tremolo
Carvin Icon 6 fretless with all the whisle and bells with the piezo

if I continue to play classical music then either a warwick or a carvin 6 strings bass

I'm starting to have anti-gas. Talk of a remodeled kitchen or new house has me feeling bad about having a couple of really nice basses (Roscoe) when for my only gig (church a few times a month) my old Geddy Lee is all I really need.
