Since nobody in my area had seen a multiscale bass before, my custom Stambaugh definitely gets a lot of attention.

The Ric always gets a look and the Raspberry Stingray turns some heads.

My Tom Clement. It's a purty bass... Not that I actually gig or anything.

This one. It's one my dad and I built on our coffee table. I get tons of compliments on both looks and tone. It's mah babeh.

The flat black finish and all-black hardware is definitely a head-turner. It's also great because I can honestly say it's not a fender that I modded...it's a crate electra body with everything else bought aftermarket. Totally my pride and joy bass...a lot of work but totally worth every bit of it :bassist:

Banjozilla! They don't just turn their heads....They run in fear!

Actually, whenever I take 'ol Banjozilla out to a bluegrass festival, I spend most of my time demonstrating it and answering questions. It's always a crowd pleaser. And kind of hard to ignore.

It just turned 20. I built it back in 1991-1992. It still stands guard in the office hall of my shop.

Edit: For those of you asking questions, here's the web page on Banjozilla, telling the whole story. There are more pictures and an audio clip.

I don't have any pics of my basses on my laptop but both my Peavey Cirrus 6'er with a flamed redwood top and birdseye FB and my Elrick NJs 5'er with a claro walnut top and chechen FB always get attention from both bassists and guitarists.
