What is this Gibson bass?

    Hi, so someone posted a Gibson bass that they claim is from the 60s on my local cragislist site.

    Those are the only two images provided.

    It LOOKS like the Gibson EB4L with the humbucker farther back from the fretboard, but all photos I've seen of EB4Ls have the Stratocaster-esque tone switch, which the CL bass does not.

    Can anyone provide any information? It'd be appreciated!
    I've emailed the poster asking for a serial #.

    That's not a 60's bass. Looks to me like just a 70s EB-0. 70's standard EB-0s had the pickup moved back as well. As you correctly mentioned, if it were an EB-4 it would have the switch. EB-4s had a somewhat different pickup as well.

    Also, I'm pretty sure that's not the original pickup. Looks like a DiMarzio model one.
