Would the MXR M89 & MXR M80 overdrive/distortion sound the same?

I know the MXR M80 has a few more features like a DI etc... But, I was wondering if the distortion effect on the M80 is going to sound similar or the same as the M89? The difference in price is only $10.00, so I was thinking that if the distortion sounded the same, it might be handy to have the other features of the M80? It's hard to tell on YouTube clips if they would sound the same or not.

They sound totally different to each other.
In the m80, the drive sound is very toppy, and the key to utilising it effectively is the blend control. The pedal is a preamp\ di with distortion, whereas the m89 is a dedicated overdrive pedal.
The m89 is much darker in character, and focuses its effort on the actual drive sound.

Thanks for the answer. I kind of figured that they wouldn't sound the same, but just wanted to make sure.
