I picked this up as my keep at work bass and then found a cheaper Squier that I don't mind letting my art students borrow. :)

Great little bass, no issues just not getting the play time.

    From the previous owner:

"The previous owner knew what they were doing as this bass needed no adjustment from me to play like butter. Super smooth player and the pickups sound decent. If you threw some newer pickups in this bass would be unbelievable.

Bass weighs in around 8 - 8.5 lbs and is very well balanced. Has a dent in the front upper horn and a few in the back. Some honest player wear nothing terrible. Neck is a bit meatier than a Jazz but is still comfy. Also has some nice flame in the maple neck."

Will ship in a nice hard soft case that fits the bass very well.

    $175 Shipped

Don't know much about the BB404 -- does it use standard-size J pickups?

Yes they do. I just checked and they fit the staggered Fender pickups. Funny thing is I was going to swap something else in and never did they sound pretty good as is. But if you are interested pm me and I have a few other pickup options for it

Sorry did you mean price on the pickups? They vary I have some Duncan Designed for $35 up to lightning rods for $55. I between are standard Mexican and some 70's Jazz.

If you do end up buying it I'll install the pickups for you.

aproud1, did I sell this to you? I remember selling my old BB404 to someone in Cincy in 2009 or so.

    EDIT: Nope, sure isn't.

Boy, this is my first post in a few years...

I would have been funny if it was. I bought one I painted back just because it traveled to a Tber out west, then to one in TN and one day I noticed it on CL in my hometown. I took it as a sign. Buy me!
