    PRICE: SOLD!

Great jazz style bass - very well liked here on TB - single coil pickups, great tone, fast neck, light weight (8.7 lbs) - big bang for the buck!

This thing is clean, in great shape - a few dings from usage, a bit of buckle rash on the back; minor stuff, and the natural finish hides everything. I used the bass on probably 10-15 gigs over the past few years; it's a great 5 string j, but I just have too many 5 string j basses, and I MUST thin the herd!

I installed a Bass Mods BEQ3-5 3 band EQ; vol/blend/bass/mid/treble, with active/passive push/pull switch on the volume control. Great combination with the single coils - from big bottom to slap - versatile!

String spacing is 18-19mm at the bridge - just like my Am Std P V bass.

I will also include the original NE1 Parametric EQ with the bass - sounds fantastic, I just prefer a 3 band eq and the reassurance of the active/passive switch for live gigs.

    Specs from Yamaha are here.

    PRICE: SOLD!

I owned one of these a few years back. They're fantastic -- the preamp is especially good, and the NE-1 circuit lets you change tones dramatically with just one knob. You really can't get a better fiver for the money!

Best buy I've seen on a good bass in a long time.

These are great and highly under rated basses. I played one for a LONG time as my one and only bass. It's tempting to buy this one. If it were Wine Red…

    Fantastic bass bump.

Gaaaaah! I just lost mine a few months ago. I don't have a bass right now. And I am planning on getting another 605. Trying my luck here.

Guess I was already too late. :(
