You Are My Sunshine solo bass

Discussion in 'Recordings [DB]' started by aks_29, Mar 8, 2014.

  1. I just had a video made of me playing You Are My Sunshine in a tunnel leading to a metro station.

I'd love to hear what talkbass thinks! Thanks!

Nice. The reverb in that place is incredible.

  7. Very nice indeed! Good example of how a simple song, well-arranged and well-played, can be stirring. I'd drop a fistful of Loonies in your case.

  9. Thanks everyone!

  10. Nice! I think bass players like this song. I heard Ron Carter play this solo at a Milt Hinton tribute concert last year.

  17. Beautiful. This just brought back a memory of going with my dad to hear Milt Hinton in a solo concert/lecture when he released "Old Man Time". Great place for my head to be this AM.

Very nice. Great vibe and cool ambiance.

  19. Thanks everyone! I'm glad this is getting such great responses. I've been doing this stuff for awhile, just busking and mostly just end up getting comments about how big the bass is. It feels great for a bunch of bass players to affirm what I'm doing.

I like it! And it reminds me of singing the song to my boys when they were little, which is good. ;)
