    There's a lot of crap to sift through when it comes to his solo stuff unfortunately, but there's some real gems when you find them.

    What's a Telephone Bill has INSANE playing from 3:55 onward. Especially the fill right at 4:00 and that out-of-time-yet-on-time playing at the end.

    I can't speak for his post-Rubber Band days, but regarding his Rubber Band stuff, there's no "crap" to sift through, IMO.

    My favorites:

    "The Pinocchio Theory":

    He does so many little things in this song that make it signature Bootsy, even without effects.

    "Hollywood Squares":

    One of the coolest bass lines I've ever heard.

    "Bootzilla":

    Monstrous tone when he hits it on the one, and sweet Mu-Tron III bubble pops in between.

    "Stretchin' Out":

    As much as I love Stevie Wonder's envelope filter clav work, nobody did more for the Mu-Tron III than Bootsy. This is one nasty bass line!

    "I'd Rather Be With You":

    Maybe the sexiest bass line of all time.

    That's the one I was going to mention. The B section is nasty.

    Another signature Bootsy line in terms of playing and tone. The break, starting at about 3:10, is ridiculously cool.
