Discussion in 'Effects [BG]' started by Veldar, Nov 13, 2012.

  1. Hey Talkbass, I was wondering if the Zoom MS-50B was coming out soon(if not then when) or would the MS-50G (Guitar one) work for compression and noise reduction?

    Cheers, Sam
  2. Please i'm sure someone knows when it's coming out or If the guitar one works for bass.

(ie. don't read things properly! ;)
  9. has anyone tried the guitar one, I want to know if it can do two signal paths using the line selector?
  10. .
From the online manual Zoom MS-50G Users Manual :

I don't think so after reading this.

I did try the guitar one- I THINK that the line selector is just a way of turning off a group of effects within a patch of 6 while keeping effects before the line selector still active.

I returned the unit only because it felt like an introduction to what could be so much more with different effects- I'll probably buy both the bass and chorus-delay-reverb ones.
  12. I guess I need two and a boss line selector for what I want:scowl:

I picked up an MS-50G just to see if it was as cool as it seemed, and because I like my B3 so much. While the OD's and distortions are ALL wrong for bass, they can be modded to work just fine, but that wasn't my focus. I like the modulations and delays, since my usual sound is CHORUS->DELAY, and for that, it's like a little B3. It even has a tuner too, so I knew I couldn't go wrong.

I for one can't wait until this pedal comes out. I love my B3, and this looks very promising.
