For sale 1967 B-15n head, mounted in headcase: expert serviced

I had this up before and have decided to re-list and start fresh. My original asking price was $800 + shipping.

In my opinion, THIS IS BETTER THAN HAVING A B-15 COMBO. With the combo you have the choice of either lugging around a very outdated cab and driver with lots of added weight (and bulk!), or carrying around the head unprotected. With this amp in its headcase you get to have the tone of the most famous, mojo-licious bass amp of all time in a small lightweight package--easy to carry to a recording studio, or to a gig with your choice of modern, lighter, more efficient cab.

Weight is just under 30lbs. Outside case dimensions (including corner reinforcements) are: 18" wide, 10" deep, and just over 9" high. It's a very cool size/weight, and balances well in the hand. (I should mention that you currently need to remove the amp from the headcase to lift off the tubecage, but if you wanted to you could cut down the extra threads of the tubecage screws and I think that would offer enough room for the cage to slide out. I just didn't want to cut down the threads.)

I bought the amp already mounted and was told by the previous owner that the amp had been fully checked out and any out of spec parts replaced.

Just to be sure, I had Wil Bailey (of THD, and amp tech to many stars of the NW) go through and give it a once-over. He said it's in fantastic shape, everything in spec. We replaced one preamp tube with a new tung-sol, and that was about it. One knob is missing. You can get an original one on ebay for $28, or a replica for $3. Wil said the guys at THD agreed it's a very nice B-15. He also thinks I should keep it.

But regardless of Wil's opinion and the fact that I love it, I just can't justify keeping it right now--too many amps, not enough money, and I already have a killer recording chain. All-cash offers will go to the top of the pile, but I'm also open to trades:

with cash from you:
greenboy 12/6 or 12/6/1
a lightweight 12" combo, like a markbass 121P or similar

with cash from me:
lakland skyline decade
a dingwall 5-er (this would be a stretch for me, but I'd consider it)

I don't really "want" anything else, but if some time goes by and it's still here feel free to offer trades involving basses, recording gear (high quality only), or audiophile playback gear. I'd also trade it for the equivalent $ value in gold or silver coins.

Shipping is hard to guess, but I'd imagine in the $50-100 range. Local pickup is welcome of course.
