For sale 500-$600 for head and cab

Alright, I'm helping out a little buddy of mine who is just getting started playing bass. He has a little Peavey 20 watt 8" combo amp that just isn't cutting it. He has between $500 and $600 to spend and I told him that I would post a wanted add on here in search of something that he may grow into. He's dealing with a guitar player with a 210 Dean Markley amp and a loud drummer. Basically I'm trying to find something he will definitally be able to grow into for quite some time. You can always turn down to match the overall volume of the band. Willing to split the money on a head and cab, please include shipping in your offers. Throw what you have at me. Please include pics as well.

Thanks for the offer, great head, but he's just starting out and only has $600 tops to deal with for bot a head and a cab. If there is any way we could find a cab for around 200 or so it might be a possability, but otherwise it doesn't seem possable.

Behringer has a 300 watt head called BXT3000T for $200 at Musicians Friend. Don't know how it sounds tho. Maybe someone on here has tried one. Also, you can get an Avatar cab for around $220-$250 new. He could have a brand new rig for around $500. Good luck

You might be able to get that Eden head and an Avatar cab somewhere. I would suggest an Avatar cab, and a used gk700rb. That should fit in 600.

Yes...an Avatar cab, SB12 ($219 + S&H) and you could always find something used. I got my Hartke 4000 for $350 a year ago...there ya go.
