Not doing a lot of playing these days, so I'm taking this off my Aerodyne body and putting it up for sale.
Details from the Allparts website.
Details in case you don't feel like clicking through to the Allparts website:
- 20 frets (fretlines)
- Maple bass neck with vintage tinted finish
- Ebony fingerboard with lines, no inlay dots
- 10” radius
- Nut width 1-9/16”
- Heel width 2-7/16”
- Tuning peg hole diameter 11/16”
- Truss Rod adjustment at heel
- Neck thickness .90“ at first fret, 1.02“ at twelfth fret
The neck is in excellent condition with just a tiny bit of wear on the fingerboard from nickel rounds. There are two spots on one fretline where the inlay has chipped out (just the fretline, not the surrounding ebony). This doesn't affect playability at all.
The finish is good but a little orange-peeley on the front of the headstock, but smooth everywhere else.
Originally this was drilled for other tuners, as you can see in the picture, but I filled in the holed and drilled new ones for the Hipshot Ultralights.
This neck has also been fitted with threaded inserts in the heel so it bolts on with machine screws (included). This is pretty handy since the truss rod adjustment screw is at the heel of the neck, so initial setup might involve a bit of on-again, off-again unless your body has a route to access the truss rod adjustment.
I have a standard Fender-style string retainer button but I forgot to put it on before taking the pictures. It's included and makes this a bolt-it-and-go neck.
Asking $235 shipped for the neck with the tuners. Would rather not separate just yet.
- thanks,
J.
