Heres a great sounding, playing, and looking fretless to add to your collection. Its a 50th Anniversary (1996) MIJ Fender Fretless 4-string Jazz (Serial #V013848) in creamy Olympic white. The original white pickguard has been upgraded to a beautiful custom mahogany-stained wood guard. From a distance, the look is similar to tortoise, but closer up the grain of the wood shows through looks great!
Fretboard is unlined rosewood with very little wear. Neck is straight and the bass plays very well. Recently set up by Guitar Works of Evanston, Illinois, who also strung it with a new set of DAddario XL lights. The original Japanese pickups have been upgraded to Bartolinis. There are a couple of good-size dings on the bass (I can get pics and locations if youre interested), though overall Id describe its condition as very good to excellent, and I would encourage you to look as closely as possible to the full size photos at the link posted below. No structural or electronic problems whatsoever.
This really is a gorgeous instrument I get compliments every time I play it or post a pic on TalkBass/
PRICE NOW REDUCED TO $600, which includes insured shipping via UPS Ground anywhere in the lower 48. Payment by postal money order or cashiers check. I can also take PayPal if youre willing to cover the 3% fee. NO TRADES PLEASE!
