Price drop... $250.00 for bass and SKB case!

***SKB 'semi-rigid' case: http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/1SKBSCFB4/

So- I picked up a (new) Squier VM P-body... asked a friend of mine to paint it! I told him to 'do whatever he wanted'... he 'had at it' and this is what he came up with... it is actually quite glossier than the pics show... he used a clear coat that he uses when he paints cars. The 'background' paint looks like granite... pretty cool!! The underside of the pickguard is painted (granite) to cover elec. route.

I found a Squier VM neck (with a Fender logo) and a Squier bridge... Squier electronics... MIM p/u and a 'donated' clear pickguard from 'pudge' (TB'er) :D ... currently strung with D'Addario half-rounds (.045-.100)

Disclaimer: I often seem to wind up with a hum when I install electronics... and have it on this one  I don't want to put any more money into it... if you know what you are doing- is any easy fix! I can include some shielding tape if you like...
> Also- while the finish is glossy and very well done- there are some minor imperfections in the finish- but with the 'business' of the pattern- it really isn't noticeable...
> Pickguard is used- so it has a bit of swirling- nothing major! Will include a single-ply white pickguard- if you would like to have the option to change...

Looking for $225.00- shipped CONUS (no case or bag)... [DEL]$275.00 [/DEL]$250.00 w/SKB case!!

(FWIW- I work with men in addictions... and am selling this to fund our work- and am hoping to continue some of these projects to help involve some of the men I am helping- to be able to get them 'back into the workforce')

It isn't ground hum it is outside interference, ground issues would get louder when you touch the metal/strings/bridge, shielding issues go away.

Easily fixed with less than $10 in copper foil tape and an hour of labour.

Oh, and it has nothing to do with your wiring, it has to do with Fender not shielding anything, including MIA basses. If the pickups work the wiring job is great. Hope that helps.

Very cool paint job. GLWTS.

Yea- thanks... never quite sure what the problem is... I do have shielding tape... might get up the gumption to do it... or might just throw some in!!

Thanks for the input- that does help to clarify the 'source' of my ills!

Very cool. He put a ton of working to that paint job. Good job!

Yea... he spent about four hours just cutting out the stencil for the pattern... I'm not expecting to 'get my money back'- just wanted him to have opportunity to try his hand at guitar refinishing. I have about $450.00 actual cost into it!
