Looks like I answered my own question; no. At least "no" in the sense of what the original specs say (175 @ 8 ohm, 325 @ 4 ohm) vs. the new Micro (550 watts @ 4 ohms 310 watts @ 8 ohms). You did mention that yours has been upgraded though, so I'm wondering if that's changed.

Based upon what else I've read about this amp here on TB (specifically http://www.talkbass.com/forum/showthread.php?t=364498), watts may not be as big a concern for me as usual (I'm one of those people that typically feels I never have enough power...until I bought my GB Shuttlemax 12). I've got an EA VL108 and a Schroeder Mini12 for smaller stuff, which appear to work really well with the EA amps. This application would be for double bass...so perhaps I'm more paranoid about watts than I should be.
