For sale FS/FT: Peavey Pro Bass 500 Head w/ Rack Bag

Free

Details

I have a Peavey Pro Bass 500 in great shape for sale or trade. Tonally, I really like this amp and actually prefer it over the Carvin BX1200 I'm currently using. The biggest problem is it doesn't have quite the power I need into my 8 ohm LDS 15/6.5 cab. This amp pushes 200 watts @ 8 ohms, 350 watts @ 4 ohms, and 500 watts @ 2 ohms.

I'd like to ask $300 plus $25 to help pay for shipping in the U.S. only please.

Ultimately, I'd like to get an amp that pushes at least 500 watts @ 8 ohms. Amps such as the Shuttle 9.0, SVT 7 Pro, M9 Carbine, LH1000, and Little Mark 800 have crossed my mind. To trade for on of those heads, I realize I may have to throw in some cash.

If you're interested, let me know what you have! If you have questions, feel free to ask, and I'll do my best to answer.

FYI, the pic of the front of the amp is my actual amp, but the pic of the back is not actually my amp, but it's the same model (of course). The amp also comes in a 2u Gator rack bag.

By the way, I have the manual in PDF format. I can send the file via e-mail for anybody who would like to read more details about this amp.

Any clue on the weight of this.. doesn't have to be specific.. are we talking 10 or 30 pounds?

How close in sound is this amp to the tube channel on the T-Max?

Mike

I really have no idea because I've never tried a T-Max. However, it does appear to have a similar setup to the Tube channel of the T-Max with its Pre and Post Gain controls.

I have to remove this amp from the market for at least the time being. I'm having issues with my other amp, so I need this one to use. Thanks for your understanding.
