SOLD !!!!!!!!!!!!!
For sale is a ATK 3EX1. The bass is finished in black with rosewood board and a graphite nut, all stock on this model.
This bass is a great player. Lots of punch and action plays great.
Quick primer for those who have never owned an ATK or are considering their fist. Ibanze introduced this line in the early 90s as their own take on the then-ubiquitous Musicman Stingray. In so doing they came up with some design similarities, and in my opinion, improvements over the EBMM Rays of the day. These include:
-Super high mass bridge for extra sustain.
-Ability to string through bridge or string through body.
-Triple coil humbucker with coil tap switching in the Stingray sweet spot (I call it the spank spot!)
-3 band EQ standard
These went out of production in the US around the late 90s and were reintroduced about 5 or 6 years ago. This one is from the second run reintroduced 5 years ago so this also features the Musicman-style "wheel" at the heel of the neck for easy truss rod adjustments.
Overall this bass is an 8/10. Some scratching on the pick guard as shown and some scratching on the back, much if which is light and some of which can be buffed out. There is also a ding on the top of the bass near the upper horn as shown, a few shallow and small dings on the back of the neck and some light oxidation on some of the screws. Most of this is easily addressed if you want to dress this up a little. Overall the bass looks great either way.
For a quick sale I am asking $SOLD shipped conus in a gig bag.
