American Standard s/n 2970 (made in 1961 according to kaybass.com). I purchased the bass in the early 90s and was told the neck had been professionally repaired. Unfortunately, the repair failed, rendering the neck unusable. Around 1995 Austin luthier Charles McDavid installed a replacement neck. I don't know what bass the donor neck came from, though he did take several months to find what he considered a suitable replacement.
Body is basically sound, though there is some delamination where the neck is attached. Distance from nut to bridge is 41". Includes Underwood pickup, padded cover, and stand.
I'm happy to answer any questions or provide additional photos. Feel free to come by and take it for a spin.
$1500 or best offer. Cash only, no trades, no shipping. I will drive a reasonable distance from Austin to meet the right buyer.
