For sale is my warmoth 5 string fenderbird. I've struggled with selling this as it was my main gigging bass for a long time, I just only play 4's these days so it's sitting unused:
The specs:
Mahogany Body with raised center
Musicman 3 band EQ
Seymour Duncan pickup
Flame maple neck bound and blocked
Schaller BML Light tuners
It's got some wear and tear on the body as it was my main bass for several years - the neck is near perfect. The only thing it's missing are 2 of the intonation screws, lost one and then took another to the hardware store to try and find a replacement, didn't find one and lost that one as well. I'm sure one could be found or you could slap another bridge on if you really wanted to. It's also missing the top knob from the concentric pot. They stay in place when it's tuned up so it never really bothered me that much, although if I were gigging her again i'd replace them.
With the way warmoth T-Birds are put together it's a bit longer than a standard T-Bird so I don't have a hardcase for it, I have a gig bag that I used, but it's nothing to write home about - it will be included. I will most likely ship with the neck removed due to this unless the buyer really doesn't want to go that route.
I put about $1600 into this when I had it built, but with the issues and not being a factory instrument I know I won't get that out of it. Looking for $700 shipped for this beast. One condition of this sale is it needs to retain it's name "White thunder"
For some audio samples you can hear the recordings of the band I was playing it at the time at the following myspace, all of the songs were tracked with this bass. Talk or Four Walls are probably the best tracks to hear the bass.
