For sale FT: amp for my MIJ '62 RI Pbass?

Details

Hi,
I have a '93 MIJ '62 Reissue PBass. Its in great shape, a couple of dings but at least 8.5 out of 10. Everything works great, recently set-up. Currently has a set of D'Addario chrome flats on it. Here is original ad with a link to more pictures (Thanks Andy!):

My reason for selling is twofold: (1) I am more comfortable with my jazz bass and (2) I need a bass head (or possibly the right combo).
I am looking for smaller heads - primarily interested in Markbass,
EA, Acoustic Image, some GK models. Happy to add cash for the right trade.

Can you describe the neck profile, i.e., "A", "C", etc? Might you possibly consider taking an AMP BH-420 in trade?

as long as I have been playing bass (38 years) I have only recently been made aware of these gradations. I am not sure about my bass, how does one tell? Is there anything on the serial number that would indicate?

Thanks
JS

Well, it's not something I'm much expert at. I sort of figure that a lot of Fender enthusiasts here on TB know about this stuff, but the "A" neck is more like a 'Jazz' feeling width at the nut. A "C" neck is I think more typically wider at the nut, and describes the shape of the back of the neck- if seen as a 'cutaway'.

Unfortunately I'm just repeating what I've heard, commonly referred to as "talking out one's arse". But I know the A neck is Jazz-like, which to me is favorable. Not necessarily a deal-breaker, but nice.

So just by way of interest, any thoughts on a swap for the AMP?

Thanks for that info, based on your descriptions, I'd say that my Pbass is a "C" profile. It has what I think of as the typical PBass width at the nut ; its wide and flat. It is a comfortable bass to play but I also have a wonderful reissue jazz and that is my weapon of choice these days.

I did research the AMP BH 420. It sounds like a very interesting piece, but I am seeking something lighter and easily repaired if needed.

Thanks for your info-
JS

Cool, good luck man. And I've heard the Shuttle 6.0. Pretty powerful little head; through a pair of Bag End S15-Ds it's a killer.

Thanks- I really like those amps, but I think it would depend on the vintage, condition, cover etc. I think there's a little discrepancy in values that we'd have to discuss. PM me if you dont mind- thanks!
