This is a light-weight hard shell case. I rarely use it but it might be handy for someone who needs a little more protection than a soft case can give. It has come in very handy when I needed to travel on buses or when i wanted to keep my bass safe from its surroundings. This case probably won't work with basses that have peg style tuners. When my bass was shipped it came in this. A bass might not fit in it when you have a 1" padded soft case on. Again, this is not quite as sturdy as the Gage or Kolstein case but it is quite tuff. It is in very good condition.

I just noticed that Lemur now carries these! They want $495 for it. They also explain that it is not as durable as a flight. However, they are still useful for other things. I have a large 3/4 that fits. If you have a smaller bass that might fit too though. Just to remind all of you I also have a kolstein tailpiece for sale. Interesting trades considered.

Would you please measure the inside width across the upper and lower bouts? I may be interested if my bass will fit...

The case is at home and I am at school right now. I could compare the measurments of my bass to yours though. By mid may I will be home and could do some measuring then, but for now I can just compare your bass to mine.

Okay I have finally finished and am back home so here are the measurements!

Upper Bout 21 1/2-22 max
Lower 27 1/2 -28 max
Total length endpin to top of scroll 77 1/2 max

If anyone is interested and may be going through minnesota on the way to the bass convention you are welcome to stop by for a fitting.

By the way, I also have a bass for sale. It is the bass that came in this case. I would be willing to throw in this hardshell case for free with the purchase of the bass.

Yes the case is still available I perhaps can check out what it would cost-of course I would have to include those shipping costs in the price. I assume you have read the rest of the thread and know the measurements and all the other info on the case. What kind of bass do you have? I would hate to sell it and then find out that it doesn't fit your bass. I will check out the shipping costs and get back to you.

It would be around 110 dollars to ship it. I think that is a somewhat generous estimate. They would also need to box it. This was with UPS, I dont know what the post office would charge but I will check if you like.

I am really motivated to sell this case. $300 OBO. And I am very willing to hear offers! This case is great for bassists with little kids running around.

OK. This item is officially not available for shipping. If anyone wants it will have to be a local pick up or driving/meeting arrangement. So if there is anyone in WI, SD, ND, IA, or IL act fast because I will be going back to school soon and it will be much harder for me to be able to sell this or drive anywhere. Again offers are accepted. :hyper:

The case is in Winona MN. There is an airport in La Crosse Wisconsin (30miles) and an international airport in Minneapolis (160 miles).
