I need a turntable. Just one for playing records, no scratching. I have a few vinyl albums I would like to hear, and possibly convert to digital sometime. If anyone has a good quality unit for not a whole lot, let me know.
I got one for digitizing my record collection. They sell it with an upgraded belt and stylus for $100. You can find stock ones for $75 elsewhere on the net. It's a good quality turntable with a built-in preamp so you can go direct to a soundcard. It doesn't have a variable pitch control or a ground lug but it's a good platter-spinner for the ducats.
Hmmm, why are these things still so expensive? I want to find one that someone who moved to all cd's is getting rid of cheap. I didn't want to spend quite that much on something I wouldn't use that much.
