New nut (I changed string guages when I went to TIJF's and to do that correctly, requires a new nut.)
New Fender tuners (the semi closed back style)
Schaller locks
new TI Jazz Flats
Fender hardshell or generic gb negotiable.
I did the assembly & wiring. Paul Lestock of Arrow Guitar did the final setup.

Paul is an amazing luthier. He just completed a mandolin for David Grissman. His archtops are simply amazing. I'm very fortunate to have him in the neighborhood.

This J is a great bass. Good sounding, good playing. I'm totally on the fence over moving this one or my L2K. 1 has to go as I have a new toy on the way in and 1 active bass in the house is enough.

Note: The pic shows Duncan SJB1's rather than the currently installed Barts. I'm on the road at the moment and this weekend I can pop you more detailed pics of the bass and also a view showing the Duncan's. In the meantime, note the string alignment with the pole pieces of the Duncan pups. This is a very well constructed instrument as good or better than anything that Fender currently produces, CS, FMT or otherwise ... Being a Franken-Bass, it doesn't command that kind of cash though... pm me if this is an instrument that you would be interersted in. I have feedback here and also at the 'Pit as well as EBay.
