I ordered this bass new in October of 2002.
Condition is Mint.

It is a single pickup in the Stingray sweet spot, with passive/active, 2-band EQ and series/parallel switching.
It was built with the #12 neck and ebony fingerboard.
G&L has discontinued ebony with dots, so this one is now unique.

This bass is without flaws or defects.
It is not dented, nor dropped, nor a dog of any kind.
Neck and body are the same as they came new from the factory.
All chrome parts are 100%. There are no pits nor permanent finger print stains. No corrosion.

It ships complete with all the original G&L box candy, hard shell case, and factory outer shipping carton.
The hard shell case is 100% virgin.
It was put away in the shipping box when it arrived, and the bass stored in a plush gig bag.
The L1500 has never been used outside my home, and has seen no stage or road time at all.

The bass is currently strung with a fresh set of T-I PowerBass rounds.

The asking price is $665. PayPal accepted.
I have 256 positives on the 'Bay site.
Shipping charges will be the actual costs, no inflated markup.
It will be detuned and shipped intact, in the hard shell case and factory shipping box.

Ebony board+ MFD pickups is a great combination, IMO. I gigged an ebony board 1505 for years (still have it... not going anywhere). What does this weigh? Is it alder or ash? Thanks!

I measured the L1500 on my calibrated beam balance scale.
With strings, no strap, it weighs 8 pounds, 4 ounces.

bump for a fellow orangevalian!!! I'll be keeping my eye on this until I acquire the funds!!!

Thanks, Tony.

I got a query from another TB'er, but he didn't mention which of the three he was interested in! :D

I always thought a 1505 was a 5 string yours looks like 1 L1000?
Please help me to understand?
Thanks

FWIW, the shipping charges get obscene when shipping assembled in the hard case.
Most hard cases are plastic, so I double boxed the hard case.
This put me over the 108" parcel post limit and incurred a shipping surcharge.

$116.38 is the USPS parcel post rate with insurance and surcharge.
USPS charged me a $72 surcharge for exceeding the 108 inch limit.
