As much as I love this bass, I just don't have that much use for a fretless right now, so this one's got to go.

This is a 2004 Modulus Quantum 5 fretless with a bubinga top and alder body that I purchased from Bass NW last year. The pictures really don't do it justice - the bubinga looks amazing in person. It's got a gloss finish with no dings or scratches. It's in excellent condition; I've never even gigged with it. The neck is very smooth and fast, and it has a clear tone with mwah for days.

Here are the specs:
Bartolini soapbar pickups
Aguilar ODB-3 preamp
Truss rod
17mm string spacing at bridge
Black hardware
Schaller straplocks (I'll include the original strap buttons too)
Alder body
Bubinga top
Graphite neck/fingerboard
Form-fitted Modulus hardshell case

As with all basses I ship, this will be shipped via air mail. This bass retails for $4250, and I'm selling it for $2100 shipped in the lower 48. You can pay by check or money order. Paypal is fine too, but you pay the fees.

I'm also interested in trades. I'll consider anything, but I'm most interested in Vintage Fenders (especially early 70's Jazz basses). If the bass you want to trade is worth more or less than mine, we can do a trade + cash on either end.

Hey, you're the guy that tried out my Zon! I see you ended up getting one - how do you like it? You're always welcome to come try out my Modulus if you'd like. (same goes for any locals)

I liked your Zon & I liked your Modulus. (I even rather liked the Modulus a bit better than the Zon feel-wise but you said you were keeping the Modulus at that time).

In the end, like you, I didn't want fret lines all over my bass, so I tracked down a "half-fretted" Zon 519 here on TB that had made the rounds thru several members in only a few months and bought that one. It has been my main learning tool since. The "half-frets" help keep my in line so to speak, while I still get that nice clean fingerboard.

I am considering taking my unlined Roscoe into Mike Lull and have him do a sort of "half-lined" deal on it as well. Maybe just some mini side dots on the edge of the fingerboard.

GAS is rearing it's ugly head on me like a kid in a candy store. Need another fretless like.... like... like I need another fretless! I hope someone liberates this from you soon so I don't come a knockin'!

BTW, for anyone else out there, this is a wunnerful bass, and absolutely immaculate. Spencer has some high quality gear!
