Thanks Jeb,
I spoke with Jim Mouradian earlier in the year and he said he currently is not building anymore CS-74 but that he would let me know if any turned up for sale. I appreciate help!
Hammer, I forgot to mention to you that once my Mouradian is done being restored, if you are in the Boston area, I'd be glad to hook up sometime and let you check it out. Not that I'd be ready to let you have it, but since they are so hard to come by, and if you haven't played one yet, it would at least give you a feel of how they are, etc. Even living in Boston, I was never able to even play one during the several years I'd been trying to find one, so if you've had the same problem, I'd be glad to do my small part in helping out.
It's been a few months since I brought it to him, but Jim's got 99% of the stuff he needs to get this baby back as close to original as possible.
The main thing is filling the hole the previous owner made in order to stuff a MM pickup in the neck position. Jim came up with some space-age-aircraft material that will fill in nicely and will keep the structural integrity of that part of the body, since it's near the neck. It should come out quite nicely. More importantly, the gold hardware is being replaced with black!
But in the meantime, here's a bump for your thread!
