I thought tacomas had a lifetime warranty. It may be worth it to go through that, unless the damage was caused by something that would void the warranty.
mahogany is a wonderful wood but fragile... my Tacoma fretless 5 string suffered a broken neck too, after an accident on stage with no one nearby, the basses debut no less.... after the heart break (it had taken two years to get the fretless five) the local Tacoma rep came to the rescue. It was fixed under warranty no questions asked, except to ask if I wanted lined or unlined.....
granted this was pre-Fender but I think the lifetime warranty is still good.
It took a while to get my bass back, about a month. Needless to say I amv very careful now.
Contact Tacoma/Fender at once... and jump through what ever hoops you have to,it is worth it
