and SOLD!
I bought this neck along with a body here on TB. I'm keeping the body and putting my '79 P bass neck on it. I'm selling the neck that came with the body here. Below is the original decription from the seller here on TB. Neck was on a real Fender body and there was almost no gap in the pocket (nice snug fit).
I'll also add that the slot on the nut for the A string is but just a hair low, but you can shim the nut or raise the slot with epoxy. I'm just being picky. Otherwise his assesment below is accurate:
"The neck is a JB Player neck from the 80's. I stripped the original lacquer and refinished the neck with Minwax and Tru Oil rather badly. There are some close ups of where I had difficulty removing some lacquer by the nut and heel. This does not affect playability at all. Looks bad but the back of the neck feels good. The truss rod adjustment is at the heel of the neck and works fine. Frets have been leveled and dressed, the tuners are MIM Fender, and the nut is water buffalo horn. I screwed up and drilled through the headstock when I was installing the tuners. I took close ups of this and a gouge by the D tuner that I made when uninstalling the old tuner ferrules. None of this affects sound or playability in the slightest."
