For your consideration, my EBMM SR5 Special HH in Burnt Ends finish (ain't it gorgeous?). If you are interested in these, you probably know the details...and the tone. I love this bass, and would not mind keeping it. I'd just rather stick to 4-bangers, so if it makes someone happy, I'm cool with that. Here are some details anyway:
- Ash Body
- Roasted maple neck w/ gunstock oil blend finish (it is insanely silky)
- lightweight EBMM tuners (the clovers are hollowed out and thicker? They're interesting and feel incredible)
- Very light and balanced at 8.6 lbs
- HH configuration with 5 way pickup selector. VERY versatile, but always has a little MM bite
-18 V active preamp
-21 stainless steel frets
In *excellent* condition. Has a couple of tiny dings on the headstock, both of which I pictured.
The fretboard is freshly oiled, and I wipe the bass down after every use.
A word about the bridge: EB uses hollow bridge saddles on these for the weight reduction and, apparently, to improve the B string. I mostly used this bass in Eb tuning, which caused some of the saddle screws to work themselves out with normal play when I first got the bass. I contacted EB, and they sent me a new set that had the same issue. To fix it, I carefully put a drop of low grade "lock tite" on the saddle screws. They all work great and can be adjusted normally, and it fixed the issue completely. I've never heard of anyone having this issue, and chalk it up to the lower tuning. I will include the extra set of saddles for you, but I recommend keeping the current ones on if you detune to Eb.
